Mumbai, a glorious day in the city of lights, or should I say, night. The city today rested it’s electrical nerves for one hour from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm, as a campaign against global warming. The “battibandh” initiative talks about how 14% of green house gases are released in the air because of the electrical appliances we use. Mumbai turned off, or at least tried to turn off the lights for that one hour. Marine drive was full of people supporting the cause and I happen to be there. I bumped into ‘Stuart’, who I know vaguely through a friend, who also happens to be a part of a band and was playing at the Drive for the cause.
Dis type of cause suppprot has been carried out sum where in other part of the world......and get got a gr8 response
A small effort, a small step towards making people aware of what can happen. Global warming is an issue known to every literate man/woman on this planet, or at least I hope they know! And it constantly needs the attention of the people and their efforts to help make this world a better place!
